In April, a conference was held in Hong Kong to strengthen relations between Vietnamese and Hong Kong rice businesses and promote high-quality Vietnamese rice in the market. Hong Kong is one of the traditional niche markets for Vietnamese specialty rice, with stable purchasing power over the years. By the end of March 2023, Vietnam exported more than 16,000 tonnes of rice to Hong Kong, a similar amount to the same period last year.
