Vietnam, Italy Seek to Step up Economic Cooperation

Japanese coast guard ship welcomed upon arrival in Da Nang

Captain Niwa Satoshi said the trip is part of activities being held to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties between both sides. The main purpose of the visit is to promote understanding and friendship among coast guard forces between Vietnam and Japan. The ship is 105.4m long, 14.6m wide, and has maximum height of 29m. The ship has a total capacity of 3,304 tonnes, with 52 crew members onboard captained by Colonel Niwa Satoshi. During their trip to Vietnam, Japanese crew members will pay a courtesy visit to the leaders of Da Nang municipal People’s Committee, in addition to engaging in several exchange and training activities with soldiers and officers of the High Command of the Vietnam Coast Guard Region 2 and the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre Zone 2 in Da Nang. Promoting Asian Games Through Art

20 children all aged thirteen and below participated in the “On-the-spot” art competition. “My favourite sport is tennis. I play tennis with my friends during the weekends. Sports keep us healthy and active. It’s really important. I am really happy to participate and draw my favourite sport,” said Yeetsho, a participant. “I came here to draw my favourite sports and I had a lot of fun. And I love drawing,” said Rayden Jatsho, another participant. Besides attractive prizes, the winning artwork will be displayed during the 19th Asian Games at Hangzhou in China. It will be held in September. “So, this event is basically like a marketing campaign by the Olympic Council of Asia to promote the Asian Games coming up in 2023 September.
