2 sisters travel 100km to join symphony orchestra in north Vietnam

They perform on the trumpet in the Vietnam Youth Orchestra. Thu and Trang live in Luong Son District in Hoa Binh Province. Thu began learning to play the trumpet in first grade, while her younger sister started playing the instrument when she was five years old. Their trumpet teacher was their father, who is a trumpeter. He often practices playing the trumpet at home, so he taught his daughters how to play. The father regularly records their trumpet practice and shares the videos on his Facebook account. After watching some of these videos, Tran Hien, the conductor of the Vietnam Youth Orchestra, contacted the two sisters to invite them to join the orchestra.
