Experience Korean Culture at Vietnam National Library’s Weekend Events

The Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam is offering various activities for participants to engage in Korean culture. On July 28, there will be a workshop where participants can create crafts from Korean traditional Hanji paper. On August 4, participants can listen to Korean children’s stories and create Korean Minhwa painting. Additionally, on August 12, there will be an opportunity to make masks and experience Korean traditional mask dancing. All activities will take place at the National Library of Vietnam, located at 31 Trang Thi street in Hanoi. These activities are free of charge. In 2017, the International Cultural Foundation (ICF) of the Republic of Korea opened the children cultural library at the National Library of Vietnam, providing a space for cultural exchanges and book readings to help children understand more about Korean culture. Mekong River’s Six Coolest Towns: Three are Right Here at Home!

Australian media outlet, The Sydney Morning Herald, highlights several picturesque towns along the Mekong river in Vietnam and Cambodia. In Tien Giang province, Cai Be district stands out with its French colonial church seemingly floating on the water, and a mobile market where locals sell their products from rowboats. Sa Dec city in Dong Thap province is a must-visit for fans of renowned writer Marguerite Duras, who lived and wrote her famous novel “The Lover” here. The city offers crumbling mansions and temples, as well as beautiful flower farms. Tan Chau town in An Giang, near the Cambodian border, is known for its silk manufacturing and traditional crafts like mat weaving and slipper making. The town is surrounded by beautiful rice fields and villages where monks rest and kids leap into the Mekong from nearby bridges. The list also includes Phnom Penh, Koh Onha Tei, and Angkor Ban in Cambodia. The post Mekong River’s Six Coolest Towns: Three are Right Here at Home! appear...
