Vietnamese novel connects two cultures through publication in RoK

The novel was written by Phuong between 2007 and 2010 and published by the Tre (Youth) Publishing House. The publication of this work is part of a project to translate literary works selected by the Korea-Vietnam peace culture federation, which was established by Korean and Vietnamese writers and has been engaged in cultural exchange and collaboration for the past 30 years. At the launching ceremony, Bang Hyun-suk, President of the Korean Literature Association (KLA), said the novel, which was translated into English, Chinese and other languages, is the first work selected for translation and publication in the RoK. Talking to the Vietnam News Agency, Phuong, who is also Vice President of the Vietnam Writers’ Association, said he hopes that his work will help Korean readers understand more about Vietnamese culture, thus strengthening mutual understanding between the two countries. Singapore dance festival comes to HCM City

The festival, initiated by the Singapore-based Odyssey Theatre (ODT) in 2004, has been held in many countries such as the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Italy, and Germany. The event in Vietnam, co-organised by ODT and the city-based Saigon Contemporary & Ballet Dance Company (SCBC), aims to create a platform for Vietnamese and international choreographers and dancers to meet and share their skills, as well as introduce their new works to audiences in the region and the world. According to Danny Tan, DanzINC’s founder and director and ODT’s art director, the festival is an opportunity for people to reconnect friendships after three years of COVID-19 pandemic. Taking the Friends obsession to another level, an entrepreneur couple Afra and Faheem started the café in Srinagar three months back. “Friends wouldn’t be Friendswithout Central Perk café, the place where the characters Monica, Rachel, Chandler, Joey and Ross used to sit on the iconic orange couch and share their highs and lows,” said Afra who is an MBA graduate. The idea of having the Friendstheme came to Afra during the period of lockdown post article 370 abrogation when she discovered the drama from her hard disk. Miss Supranational 2013 set to model at Vietnam fashion show

She is set to showcase the latest collection “Love Ardently” by designer Van Anh Scarlet during a fashion show titled “’See in The Forest”. The collection consists of 60 designs produced by 50 artisans over a two-month period. The show will feature evening gowns, designs for Fall and Winter in 2023, and wedding dresses with a message of pure love. International Film Festival promotes images of capital Hanoi

The video clip highlights an array of beautiful landscapes and the culture of Hanoi, as well as a range of activities taking place during the festival.
