Chairman of Hanoi Expresses Gratitude to BlackPink

The success of the concert, attracting approximately 60,000 spectators, showcased Hanoi’s reputation as a peaceful and welcoming city. In a letter sent on Monday, Chairman Thanh expressed his gratitude to the internationally-acclaimed K-pop girl group, BlackPink, for their captivating performances and the immense support from Vietnamese and international tourists during the two-night concert. He also thanked the concert-goers for their enthusiastic participation and the competent forces for ensuring the safety of the foreign artists and spectators. Thanh emphasized Hanoi’s ability to organize international music and cultural events and expressed the city’s desire to host more such events in the future, further enhancing its status as a modern and civilized capital city. The concert in Hanoi was part of BlackPink’s Born Pink World Tour, a global tour spanning 64 sites and projected to generate an estimated $163 million.
