Discovering a Wind Farm as a New Tourist Destination in Bac Lieu Province

Along with the opportunity to explore the wind power field, this is also a chance to visit pristine mangrove forests and fish cages of people living in the coastal area.
From Bac Lieu city, through the ancient longan garden and Xiem Can pagoda, travelers reach the farm located in the coastal area of Vinh Trach Dong Commune, more than 10km from the city centre.
For just VND30,000, tourists are able to buy a ticket to discover the farm, which is considered the new symbol of Bac Lieu province, an area which has greatly contributed to local development.
Bac Lieu wind farm became the first wind power project in the nation when it was built in 2010. It is widely considered to be one of the largest wind power projects in the country.
This is also the first wind farm in Southeast Asia built on the continental shelf, with 62 turbines along the coast. Each turbine stands at about 80m high and boasts propellers are 42m long.
With a landscape as beautiful as a European sky, the area has quickly become a popular tourist attraction.
The arrangement of the turbines combined with local roads makes travel easy, with visitors able to go from one area to another without any problems.
The most suitable time to visit is during the early morning or in late afternoon, when you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset over the sea.
Back in 2019, the site was recognised as a typical tourism destination of the Mekong Delta Tourism Association.

Macau company proposes holding professional international boxing tournament IPBU in Vietnam

The provincial People’s Committee on Thursday asked the Department of Culture and Sports to study the proposal by Heng Heng Company, the organizer of IPBU, and report the results to the provincial administration before Saturday. Heng Heng said it was authorized by New Long San Group and Crazy Sports Group Limited to hold the tournament with some 500 bouts per year in Macau and Hainan Province, China.
