Ho Chi Minh City among world’s seven trending destinations this autumn
“Ho Chi Minh City is very affordable for the fall months, so your travel dollars go a long way,” according to the publication.
Christie Hudson, head of US public relations for Expedia, noted that she found several five-star hotels in September and October starting at roughly US$50 a night.
Generally warm throughout the year, fall typically marks the end of the rainy season as temperatures start to cool, thereby making it a pleasant time to visit the southern city’s landmarks such as the Cu Chi Tunnels, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Ben Thanh Market, she said.
According to metasearch site Kayak, Ho Chi Minh City has seen a 46% increase in searches in comparison to 2019, while Expedia reported a staggering 630% growth in searches from last fall.
The other six destinations to make the list include London in the UK, Punta Cana in Dominica, New York in the US, Munich in Germany, Albania, and Barbados.
